Bid Manual for ESRS 2024 Congress!

Dear ESRS and NSS Members,

We hope that you and your loved ones are going safely through this difficult period of confinement due to the Covid-19 pandemic and it is encouraging to see some easing of restrictions in a number of European countries.

We sincerely hope that the current crisis will abate over the coming months and that we will be able to meet in Seville next September for our usual Congress. Depending on the evolution of the pandemic and associated restrictions, we may include a virtual remote option for those unwilling or unable to travel to Seville. A virtual component may be an option to consider, anyway, for future Congresses. After Seville, our next meeting is planned for September 2022 in the wonderful city of Athens.

As usual, we now need to choose the location of our 2024 meeting.

For this purpose, The ESRS Board cordially invites European National Sleep Societies wishing to host the ESRS 2024 Congress to present an attractive bid document to the Society.

Since our two next meetings will be held in Southern Europe, we will give some priority to consider cities from Northern Europe for 2024, although cities from all Europe who did not host our meeting in the last decade will also be considered.

The deadline for submitting a bid is 22 May 2020.Please download and read the manual carefully, prior to your document preparation especially as the congress centre is requested to contact the ESRS Congress Secretariat beforehand to receive the detailed information on space and AV requirements: Bid Manual for ESRS 2024 Congress.

The final bid document should be submitted by e-mail to the following address:, with a copy to

We look forward to receiving your documentation!

With every best wish for your good health and safety.

Yours sincerely,

Walter McNicholas

ESRS President
