2023 Sleep Science School

APPLICATIONS CLOSED

The fourth edition, which took place from 24-29 September 2023, focused on “REM/Paradoxical Sleep” and was once again held at the CNRS Villa Clythia site in Frejus, on the Mediterranean coast of South France. The event was coordinated by ESRS President Pierre-Hervé Luppi, Vice President (Basic) Vladyslav Vyazovskiy, and Past President Philippe Peigneux.

The programme was designed to be highly interactive, encouraging maximum participant involvement. It featured in-depth lectures by an international faculty of sleep experts covering various aspects of sleep functions, including both human and animal studies. Participants also had the opportunity to present and discuss their own research. Additionally, the agenda included interactive workshops focused on writing research grants and proposals, as well as in-depth exchanges between early career and experienced researchers. Faculty members were present throughout the entire week, actively participating in group activities and engaging in both theoretical and practical discussions with early career researchers.
