Presentation: COMISA in Clinical Practice: Practical Strategies from a Large Sleep Center
Comorbid insomnia and sleep apnea (COMISA) is common in daily sleep medicine, but often insufficiently addressed. This lecture will provide practical, stepwise recommendations for diagnosing and initiating treatment in patients with COMISA, including systematic identification during PAP follow-up. We will present first insights from clinical registries and recent study data, highlighting the real-world relevance of COMISA for adherence and outcomes. In addition, healthcare data from digital health applications delivering digital CBT-I will illustrate how structured digital interventions can complement sleep apnea care.
