The ESRS Networking Event at FENS Forum 2024 on the topic “Current challenges and opportunities of using AI in sleep medicine and neuroscience: a networking event for sleep researchers and clinicians” will be held on 25 June at 19:00 CEST.

This networking session is a collaboration among the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS), the Austrian Sleep Research Association (ASRA) and the Austrian Neuroscience Association (ANA).

The discussion will cover topics from introduction to AI and its applications for sleep staging and as a tool for data analysis, to early detection of neurodegenerative disorders through AI. Questions like “are we ready to use wearables to record sleep?”, “are we ready to make sleep diagnoses based on AI?” and “what are the ethical questions and regulations in Europe for integration of AI in sleep medicine?” will be discussed among panelists and the audience in an informal setting.
