Prof. Dr. Leila Tarokh is an Associate Professor at the University Hospital of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, University of Bern, Switzerland. She earned her PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of California, Irvine, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University. She later served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Brown University and a senior researcher at the University of Zurich. Her research explores the relationship between sleep and mental health, particularly through longitudinal, multimodal studies with a focus on high-density sleep EEG. Dr. Tarokh has secured multiple research grants, including funding from the Swiss National Science Foundation, and serves on the editorial boards of several journals, including as Associate Editor for Sleep Advances and Section Editor for Current Sleep Medicine Reports.
