Dr. Raoua Ben Messaoud

Dr Raoua Ben Messaoud is a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory of Hypoxia and Physiopathology in Grenoble, France, working within the clinical team led by Prof Jean-Louis Pépin, internationally recognised for its expertise in sleep apnoea management. She brings a dual background as a biological engineer specialised in biomedical science and biohealth, and as a PhD holder since 2023 in clinical research with a focus on innovative technological tools for the diagnosis and management of obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). Her current research centres on digital innovations in sleep apnoea care, including connected devices and digital biomarkers to improve patient pathways. She collaborates closely with clinicians, start-ups, and industry partners to validate and implement emerging health technologies.
In addition to her research activities, she has been serving as a temporary lecturer at Université Grenoble Alpes since 2019, where she is committed to mentoring and promoting scientific education.
She is passionate about translating science into practical solutions to improve patient outcomes and healthcare delivery.
She is a member of the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS) and the French Society for Sleep Research and Sleep Medicine (SFRMS).
