ESRS Newsletter January 2025
President's Message January 2025
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
On behalf of the ESRS Board and staff, I would like to wish you a happy New Year and hope that 2025 will be filled with success, especially as it relates to your work in sleep. 2024 was a remarkable year, full of events and activities that brought our community closer together, and we are working hard to ensure that 2025 will be even better.
I would like to extend my apologies for the delay in sending this newsletter. While I typically aim to share updates on the first Friday of each month, the holiday season has shifted our schedule slightly.
As we begin this new year, I would like to remind you that applications are open for the 14th Sleep Medicine Examination for Somnologist Certification and the 12th Sleep Medicine Examination for Somnologist-Technologist Certification, both scheduled to take place online in September 2025. Applications are due by 31 January 2025.
I am also pleased to announce that registration for the Public Health track of eSleep Europe 2025 is now open. This track is one of eight forming part of our year-long virtual congress, held every second Thursday of the month. The Public Health Track is scheduled for 13 February 2025- Register here.
This virtual congress is exclusive to ESRS members and free of charge. Registration for the other tracks will open in the forthcoming weeks, so stay tuned for updates!
Furthermore, do not miss out on the opportunity to attend the Sleep and Breathing Conference, scheduled for 10-12 April 2025 in Antwerp, Belgium. The early-bird registration deadline is approaching swiftly, on 27 January 2025 at 23:59 CET. Registering early ensures that you benefit from a discounted fee.
As we move into 2025, the ESRS Board and staff remain steadfast in supporting your professional growth. These initiatives mark just the beginning of an exciting year ahead, with more announcements and opportunities to come as we continue to strengthen our community and its impact.
Kind Regards,
Erna Sif Arnardóttir
