As the summer season approaches, we are delighted to bring you an exciting update on the upcoming virtual event, eSleep Europe 2023, hosted by the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS). This special edition of our newsletter will exclusively focus on the latest developments and essential information regarding the congress.

Abstract Selection Completed and Oral Sessions Announced

We are thrilled to inform you that the abstract selection process for eSleep Europe 2023 has been successfully concluded. We received high-quality submissions, reflecting the exceptional research conducted by our members. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the authors whose abstracts were accepted for presentation. The oral sessions have been finalised, promising an engaging program that covers a wide range of research in the field of sleep medicine. A total of 18 countries are represented in the 36 oral presentations. The Best Abstract Awards will be announced later this summer.

Extended Program: 90 Additional Minutes of Specialty Education Daily

In our commitment to provide comprehensive educational opportunities, we are pleased to announce that the programme for eSleep Europe 2023 has been extended. Each day, an extra 90 minutes have been dedicated to specialty education sessions. These sessions will delve deeper into specific sleep-related topics, featuring renowned experts who will share their insights and knowledge. We believe that this additional educational component will enhance the overall value and depth of your congress experience.

4 October, 17:30 – 19:00 CET - An Interactive Scoring Experience Jointly presented by the European Society of Sleep Technologists (ESST) and the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)

5 October, 17:30 – 19:00 CET – European Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (EADSM)

Role of Dentist`s in the medical diagnosis of OSAS
Relation Bruxism towards Insomnia and OSAS

6 October, 17:30 – 19:00 CET – Special Session Presented by the ESRS Paediatric Sub-Committee Sleep Disordered Breathing on the Verge of Different Paediatric Subspecialities

Application for CME Credits Now Underway

We are proud to have over 30 societies supporting eSleep Europe 2023

Joint Session Highlight

ESRS And WSS come together to discuss the public health impact of sleep across continents. Dieter Riemann, JSR Editor-in-Chief will open the session with a talk about digital applications to treat insomnia. From the World Sleep Society, Kristen Knutson, who has researched whether sleep and circadian rhythms partially mediate socioeconomic and/or racial/ethnic health disparities, will speak on the topic. Chandra Jackson, National Institute of Health, will continue the discussion on environmental and social detriments of sleep. Our own ECRN Representative, Fran Pilkington-Cheney will close the session with a presentation of her research on shift work.
