Prof. Dr. Athanasios Kaditis
Athanasios Kaditis is a Professor of Paediatrics and Paediatric Pulmonology at First Department of Paediatrics, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens School of Medicine and Agia Sofia Children’s Hospital in Athens (Greece) and Head of the Division of Paediatric Pulmonology. He has completed his paediatric residency training at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota and paediatric pulmonology subspecialty training at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (USA). Dr. Kaditis is American Board of Paediatrics certified in General Paediatrics and Paediatric Pulmonology.
He has a special interest in the care of children with chronic lung disease and sleep-disordered breathing. He was chair of an ERS Task Force preparing two statements on the diagnosis and management of obstructive sleep apnea in childhood. Dr. Kaditis is the first or senior author or co-author in 137 PubMed-listed publications. He is Associate Editor for “SLEEP” and “Pediatric Pulmonology”.
