Thank you for joining SLEEP EUROPE 2024!

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who joined us at Sleep Europe 2024, both in Seville, Spain and online. The event was truly a nexus of scientific discovery and collaboration, filled with extraordinary energy.

See you in Maastricht in 2026!

Welcome to Maastricht for SLEEP EUROPE 2026!

Dear Colleagues,

It is our pleasure and privilege to invite you to Sleep Europe 2026: The 28th Congress of the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS), which will take place from 20–23 October 2026 in Maastricht, the Netherlands.

For the first time, Sleep Europe will be jointly hosted by three countries and their national sleep societies — Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands — reflecting the spirit of collaboration that defines our field.

Maastricht, located in the centre of Europe, is also the historical birthplace of the European Union. The Maastricht Treaty, signed in 1992, led to the creation of the European Union and the euro. The city is well connected to many European cities by high-speed trains and nearby international airports. Once you arrive, the city and congress centre are easily accessible on foot, by bicycle, or via public transport.

Together with the ESRS Scientific Committee, we are preparing our most comprehensive programme to date. In addition to our established tracks — Respiratory, Neurology, Paediatrics, Public Health, Mental Health, Basic Animal, and Basic Human research — Sleep Technology will debut as a stand-alone track. We are also pleased to announce the addition of a Plenary lecture from a globally recognised speaker, which promises to be a highlight of the meeting.

We look forward to welcoming you to Maastricht!
