CURRENT ANNOUNCEMENTS:
HP2 : Hypoxia ; Pathophysiology, INSERM U 1042 :
We have developed an original research project on cardiovascular consequences in intermittent hypoxia and sleep apnea using both animal, translational and clinical research. We are addressing general adaptations to hypoxia, not only during sleep but also during exercise. This is specifically the case regarding interactions between muscle, adipose tissue, brain and hypoxia. The structure of the laboratory and the scientific project are based on 4 teams, 2 on animal research (one on Vascular remodelling and atherosclerosis, the other one on Adaptation to chronic intermittent hypoxia: HIF-1 and its target genes) and 2 on translational and clinical research (one on sleep apnea and hypoxia, the other one on exercise and hypoxia).
