Cátia Reis, PhD, chronobiologist and somnologist (sleep-scientist), is an assistant professor at the Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Human Sciences, Catholic University in Lisbon, Portugal. Coordinator of the first Post-graduation in Sleep Psychology in Portugal. She is a researcher at the Catholic Research Center for Psychological, Family and Social Wellbeing (CRC-W) and IMM and ISAMB from the Lisbon Medical School in Lisbon.
She is an early career researcher that received her PhD in Environmental Health from the Lisbon Medical School (Sleep and Chronotypes). Her main research areas are sleep and circadian rhythms and the impact of social life upon these rhythms (e.g., shift work, social jet lag). She has published data from healthy participants, as well as from sleep medicine patients. Portuguese coordinator for international projects in sleep and circadian rhythms (GlobalChronoCorona, ICOSS2)
